  1. There are many things I learned over the course of a week during our Capstone Project making. First, I learned how to step up and be the first to initiate our task designation in Capstone. I also learned to be empathetic towards my members especially since we have a very different lifestyles. Lastly, I learn to manage my time with my Academic workloads and this Capstone project which I honestly do not expect I could.

  2. For the things I want to learn, I want to learn on how to be more open on suggestions of my members. I also want to learn on how to be more social without sacrificing my safe space.

  3. Just a question out of curiosity, How do you manage being a KadaKamp/KadaKareer Leader while working/studying?

  • Things I learned :mortar_board: What have you learned as an individual or a team in doing your capstones so far? I learned that time management is crucial. Balancing acads, org, and capstone-making definitely test how I can manage my time efficiently. It is a challenge as I am currently in my exam weeks. My work is be for naught, if it was for my active team who each worked to plan for our capstone.
  • Things I want to learn :brain: What are the priority things you want to learn as an individual or as a team for next week? I want to learn how to improve visual presentations as I want to enhance my skills on how to make better presentations.
  • Any questions for our team?
I would like to ask regarding Q&A Live if we are supposed to record the FB live to submit it or we are just going to submit the proposal?

  1. Doing a Capstone project is already difficult, what more if we are with people who we don’t meet often physically. Working with a group of three is manageable, but with only two, it becomes more arduous. However, I’m accustomed to this dynamic from our previous thesis project with three participants. While the task is challenging, delegation can lighten the load significantly compared to going solo. Remember to connect with others as we’re all in this together.

  2. Grasping the essence of our discussion with our chosen Koach, followed by the pubmat and social media postings.

  3. Do you have a Capstone format or guidance on seeking feedback to avoid mistakes? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Things I learned :mortar_board:
I’ve learned a lot from my Kubo and realized that every leader faces challenges—but while they can vary from person to person, they’re not unique at all. There are always similarities in the struggles we, leaders, encounter just like what my Kubomates and I have each faced. May it be about communication, decision-making, or managing a team. Recognizing these common challenges makes it easier not just for me but for us all to learn from each other and find better ways to lead.

Things I want to learn :brain:
Next week, I want to learn practical communication strategies from our Koach—especially on how to communicate clearly in leadership roles, handle misunderstandings, and make sure everyone in the team is aligned and engaged. Understanding these will help us become better leaders moving forward.

Any questions for our team?
None for now!

  1. I have learned how challenging it is to manage my time. This week, balancing both midterm exams and our proposal defense has been particularly challenging. It’s very difficult for me to find time for our capstone because of my schedule, however, (I believe) I still manage to balance the three of them in the best way I can.

  2. As an individual, I want to improve my communication skills, to be more open with my team, and to not feel any shyness or awkwardness.

  3. None.

  1. I have learned many things in doing our capstone. However, the greatest among them is the importance of communication. Communication allows us to not just deliver our messages but it also reinforces the spirit of collaboration. By communicating with others, it opens up a space for learning and a chance to work with others. This is very important especially in leadership, because as a leader you are not only being a leader to successfully drive a project or mission, but ultimately to generate ideas and long lasting connections.:mortar_board:

  2. As an individual, I want to learn how to create more creative visual materials and to improve team collaboration skills, hopefully with the guidance of our chosen Koach. I also would want to learn how to effectively present our capstone🧠

  3. I have no questions for the team at the moment. However, I would like to express my appreciation for your optimistic energy for us Kampers. Thank you!

What I’ve Learned So Far: I’ve gained valuable insights on effectively collaborating with my co-officers, particularly in navigating our diverse perspectives and ideas. As for our team, I recognize the significance of leveraging our differing viewpoints to enhance our collective outcomes; since all of us are in different parts of the Philippines- busy with our own lives, we had to make sure to be able to understand each other while still accomplishing our task.

Future Learning Goals: As we move into next week, I am eager to deepen my understanding of our priorities, both as an individual and a member of an organization, so as presenting our capstone :face_with_peeking_eye:

Questions for the Team: I’d love to hear your thoughts about how this type of event can further help us, especially for our work-journey.

So far, I’ve learned the importance of adaptability and collaboration in working on capstones. Balancing different perspectives within a team while staying aligned with our main goal is a challenge, but it’s also what makes the process rewarding. I’ve also realized that refining ideas based on feedback is crucial for creating a strong final output.

  2. Things I want to learn :brain:
For next week, I want to dive deeper into strategic decision-making—understanding how to make quick yet effective choices when unexpected challenges arise. I also want to improve how I present ideas clearly and persuasively, especially in high-stakes settings like final presentations.

  3. Any questions for our team?
What are some key qualities or habits that successful capstone teams demonstrate during the final stretch?

Always communicate with the team, create a good teamwork mindset, & balance well what is needed to do to be able to have progress whilst also handling other commitments.

  • Things I learned :

Working on our Capstone Project has taught me the importance of initiative, leadership, and teamwork. Taking the lead in task designation made me realize the importance of stepping up and managing responsibilities effectively. More than that, I also learned how to better understand and work with my team members, recognizing our different work styles, strengths, and challenges. This experience has helped me improve my ability to adapt, communicate, and collaborate more efficiently.

I also gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of attendance and time management. Being present and actively participating in discussions ensures smoother coordination and decision-making. At the same time, balancing multiple responsibilities—academics, organizational duties, and work—has shown me the need for better prioritization and discipline. Moving forward, I recognize the importance of staying focused and managing my time wisely to handle all these commitments effectively.

  • Things I want to learn :

I want to improve my ability to communicate more effectively with my team. While I can express my ideas, I want to be more confident in sharing my thoughts without hesitation. I also want to overcome any feelings of shyness or awkwardness, allowing me to engage in discussions more freely and contribute to a more open and collaborative environment.

Additionally, I want to learn how to socialize more comfortably without sacrificing my safe space, finding the right balance between building connections and maintaining personal boundaries. Developing these skills will not only enhance our teamwork in the Capstone project but also help me grow personally and professionally.

  • Any questions for our team?

None.

Hi Dave, congrats for being our earliest to check-in bird! Glad you’re progressing well with your capstone. Opening up doesnt need to be drastic, just improve on small changes and ask yourself “how do you want to see yourself?”

  • Managing time is definitely a skill! It helps me to set a schedule for myself for KadaKareer (e.g. Wednesdays 10-11pm) so you make it consistent  Can also set collaborative working sessions with your Kubo mates - getting things done together!

Goodluck!

Hi Michael,

Thank you for the grit on pushing through! Since you are only 2 active people in the group though, you may reach out to hubs@kadakareer.com so we can merge you with other groups. Goodluck with finding a koach

  • For the format, you may search for past cohort’s post under #kadakamp in Linkedin and Facebook. In terms of your coaching session, you may use this guide:
Think about some realistic problems that your group faces in your career or leadership journey. Turn these problems into relatable questions that can capture the interest of an audience.

After the Group Koaching Session, talk about what you have learned so far and create a reflection journey that contains introspection on the problems your Kubo has faced in the past, and how the Koaching session has helped them gain perspective on the situation.

Best of luck!
