KadaKamp Capstone Check-in Week 3

Hi Rhoniemae,

Yes communication is an underrated skill :muscle: Goodluck with your coach conversation hope you learn a lot. Thank you also for your energy and time. Best of luck!

Hi Mori,

Love the navigation – Filipinos have been navigating problems and seas since the dawn of time after all <3 Thank you for making time to do your capstone. Excited to see your capstone outputs and prioritizations  My favorite framework is Eisenhower (Urgency x Importance) matrix that might help in prioritizing.

  • Work journey - definitely completing KadaKamp is a tangible output in your resume. Can put something like: As a selected participant among 40 student leaders from all over the Philippines globally, collaborated on the fundamentals of leadership and its application to driving community engagement initiatives. You may also improve further as a leader in KadaKareer and our Skills Builder partnership https://www.skillsbuilder.org/ where you may see tangible traits you may improve upon. And KadaKareer offers more services like talking to a coach, taking apprenticeships, and workshops!

Hi Bryles,

Love to see what you create with your group based from different perspectives. Yey to decision making – please share in case you have frameworks in mind.

  • Successful teams - focus on being done than perfect. Given the time constraint, focus on what you can achieve as an output even if you cant hit all the marks  And also getting support when needed

Goodluck!

Hi Marjorie,

Love to see the coordination and finding some time to align. Rhythms are important for me as well. Excited to hear from your conversation with your Koach  Excited to see your presentation skills in Graduation Day! Best of luck <3

Hi Margaret,

Thank you for the grit in balancing all the things! Love your proactive reachout as well. Love to hear about your focus on workflows – you got this. Yes, please consult as you need, we have sent the link to your emails  Padayon!

Hi Albert,

Glad to see you prepare and communicate – already applying KadaKamp fundamentals :muscle: Goodluck on your coaching session - excited to hear about your learnings. Galingan nyo!

Hi Prince Angel,

Happy to see you step up task designation! Best leaders are great at adapting so keep it up. Yes, integrity is also important in upholding commitments. Communicating, even awkwardly and imperfectly is okay! That’s the beauty of language and safe spaces. Just say what you need to say and be open to actively listen. Goodluck!

  1. Things I learned :mortar_board:
Through our capstone project, I’ve learned the importance of collaboration and patience. Working as a team has taught me how to effectively communicate, share ideas, and adapt to different perspectives, while also understanding that progress takes time and persistence.
  2. Things I want to learn :brain:
For next week, my priority is to improve my skills in working in a fast-paced environment. I want to learn how to manage tasks efficiently, stay organized, and deliver quality results even under tight deadlines.
  3. Any questions for our team?
I’d like to ask the team about their thoughts on the importance of relaxing during intense project phases. How do you balance productivity with taking breaks to recharge?

Hi Micah,

I love that collaboration and patience go hand-in-hand. Definitely often you cant choose who you need to talk to  But please escalate right away in case you need support for your Kubo to hubs@kadakareer.com Goodluck with sprinting :running_man: last week for capstones next week!

On resting, definitely, resting is a human right. Listen to your body and rest when it wants to - more often pushing to accomplish things on a fatigued body may be detrimental. Rest and see yourself energized. Focus on high-density fun as well, tasks that truly nourish you (enjoying a movie, taking a walk, great naps) vs low-density that do little for your rest (like for me social media hehe). To finish this, keep a good pace and that means resting  You got this!

Hi Kampers! First check-in is done yey! to those who haven’t checked in - please do so (habol habol). Reminder that these are sent individually as requirement to graduation. Can be short statements as well  we just want to see to see show up :sparkle:

Goodluck with exams week <3 Done is better than perfect, you got this!

Good morning, I stand corrected; initially, we were a group of four, but now we are down to three. We have managed to find and talk to a Koach in a session. Now, we are in the process of understanding the words that our selected Koach said during our session. Thank you so much, your advice is greatly appreciated by all of us. It seems we need to tap into our creative side.

I learned how to be considerate to my kubo mates. Learned how to adjust to different time schedules.

What I want to learn more is more on about leadership in business. How to encourage your team members to do well in their tasks

Vincent - Kubo 5

Things I learned :mortar_board:

  • Time management has become essential for me as I balance academic responsibilities with capstone deadlines, forcing me to create realistic timelines and break down tasks effectively, and learning this really helped me a lot.

Things I want to learn :brain:

  • I’m focusing on improving my decision-making skills, particularly when facing unexpected challenges. I want to develop better strategies for maintaining open communication for smoother workflow.

Questions for the team

  • What strategies do you recommend for balancing productivity with necessary breaks during intensive project phases?

Zoe - Kubo 10

  1. One thing I learned is that you must have the ability to initiate actions and decisions. You must also be open and observant if you want to take the lead in managing a team since, there are instances that all members wants to take the lead — which can be quite chaotic and difficult for a team to unify in both tasks and relationship building.
  2. I look forward on how our team will communicate and finish our capstone next week. I particularly like designing pubmats and anything related to creative work so, I expect myself to contribute something meaningful to our final project.
  3. How has your leadership style evolved over time?

Angelian - KUBO 2

1. Things I learned

I’ve learned the importance of adaptability in project execution, especially when balancing feasibility and impact. As a team, we’ve improved in problem-solving and collaboration.

2. Things I want to learn

I want to deepen my understanding of sustainable project management and stakeholder engagement to ensure long-term impact.

*. Any questions for our team?

How can we better integrate community feedback into our capstone while staying aligned with our project goals?
