What are some of your recommendations for items you use for work? or sa workstation?

Planning to prepare myself and my work station for some studying/work. Can anyone share their must-haves? Like headphone recommendations, chairs, or anything to put on my desk to keep me going.

If you’re a fan of earphones and want the most bang for your buck, try buying KZ ZSN Pro X earphones bc they’re gooooodd. Like mine lasted more than a year so great lifespan too!

Also, if you tend to get very distracted, buy a small notebook where you can write random thoughts that distracts you while working. Saves a lot of mental bandwidth for me hahaha

As a work from home girlie, my desk at home is literally where I work all the time lol I rarely go outside so it should be conducive for me for the whole day, including morning meetings and late night working sessions:

  • My USB extender/connector. Idk what it’s called. Basta yung pinapadami ang USB cables I can connect to my laptop. I switch laptops kasi (from work to mga personal) so it’s handy to quickly change my peripherals when isa lang ang nakaconnect sa laptops through USB
  • Space to put my headset on. My headset is Onikuma (kasi I love the cat ears lol and the color) so it’s pretty big. It’s been handy for me to put on my headset para makaconcentrate. My headset has been with me for 1-2 years (I forgot how long na) pero it’s main purpose was for gaming. Now I use it for both gaming and meetings. My workmates don’t care that I have cat ears on during meetings lol
  • Biiiig water jug beside me. Keeps me hydrated and I don’t have to stand up much. Mine’s a cheap one from Shopee na 2L
  • Tissue, wipes, alcohol. I sometimes eat here so in case may matapon
  • If I’m in the mood for tea (I steep one teaspoon three times), I use a tumbler to keep hot water that I heated from downstairs hot. Easier to re-steep when my hot water is just there when I finish my tea.
  • Journals, stationery, pens, etc on my dominant hand’s side. I’m left-handed so sa left to. I always plan ahead the previous night to make sure I don’t overbook myself. This also helps during my stand up meetings in the morning because I list down what I did for the day and what I plan to do the next day (we report all that to our team lol). I also list down any ideas I have.
  • Looong extension. Like for many plugs and universal rin. It has like a switch to turn a certain socket on and off. I have all my cables na nakasaksak dun, including my chargers (phone, laptops), and my lamp.
  • Lip balm. Dry lips galore kasi HAHAHA so I have my Carmex just beside me. As much as I can, I try to keep my lips moisturized and I build the habit. Ganun rin for my multivitamins and hair serum ko
  • My chair’s a plastic chair for now cuz nakikistay ako sa kwarto ng tita ko now pero sa kwarto ko, I have an office chair from IKEA.
  • Mouse is a normal wired one but I plan to upgrade to a bluetooth one once regular na. My keyboard is RK61 (iirc basta yung maliit) brown switches cuz it makes me feel productive when I hear yung sound nila.
  • Looots of visual reminders lang of what I need to do. Can come in the form of sticky notes on the desk, sticky note sa laptop, or chat ko sa sarili ko sa messenger, slack, telegram, etc. For funsies, I put one task on one sticky note para when I’m done, I pull it off and it feels rewarding to see a clear desk after.

Halatang dito na ako nakatira sa pwesto ko pero eh HAHAHA ganyan talaga at least hindi pagod sa commute. I also have a few photocards and figurines displayed as pampagana ko sa pagtrabaho.
