Week 2: Kadacamp Experience

Continuing the discussion from KadaKamp Cohort 9: Capstone Check-in Week 2 :sunflower::

Hi! I’m Ferdinand from Kubo 6😊

Week 2 gave me a moment to really look inward and appreciate how much I’ve grown during our Capstone journey. One part of our final output that truly feels like “me” is the initiative I constantly tried to bring to the team. Whether big or small, I always made an effort to offer what I could and not because I had to, but because I genuinely wanted to help push our project forward. That part of “me” who steps up and supports others, is something I’m proud to see reflected in the work we produced.

I’m especially proud of how I showed up by sharing my skills with the team. It meant a lot to be seen and appreciated, particularly by Nikka, who acknowledged my contributions. That simple gesture reminded me that being recognized doesn’t always come from the loudest voice or the flashiest work but sometimes it’s in the quiet, consistent effort we bring to the table.

If our Capstone could spark just one change, I hope it’s this: helping young leaders realize they don’t have to carry everything alone. Personally, this experience shifted how I viewed leadership. I used to think being a leader meant doing everything by myself, handling the load and pushing through alone. But through Kubo 6, I learned how powerful collaboration really is. I saw how working together, believing in one another, and combining our strengths can lead to something far greater than what any of us could’ve done alone.

Beyond our team, I believe our Kapstone has the potential to inspire other rising leaders and encouraging them to recognize their own capabilities, embrace their uniqueness, and see the possibilities they hold. That kind of mindset shift, even in just one person, can be the start of something powerful.

Thank you for sharing your experience, @FERDINAND_27 ! I hope you continue to bring those initiatives as you move forward not only in your team/group or classes, but also as you move through life. You’ll do great when you’re proactive! Keep up the great work!
