Honestly, it’s anything about hygiene and health. I hope corporates soon recognize and realize the needs of women in and out the office. That includes less restrictive leaves for health reasons, availability of sanitary pads, access to medical support, etc.

I think it is having double standards. For example, if you are a woman, you are expected to be submissive and to only do tasks that are stereotypically for women (e.g., secretarial role). Women are to be less assertive lest being reprimanded by the community.

I totally agree! Creating environments where women don’t have to stress about basic health needs would be such a game-changer. They can consider these extra perks as a part of creating an inclusive workplace. Hopefully, these kind of programs or practices can also become a standard for companies soon.

I sympathize with this one. Though I’m currently not working, I have heard stories where companies don’t acknowledge dysmenorrhea or monthly periods as a reason for women to rest and recover. That it “does not affect work or the productivity of women”.
